General practice is seeking a temporary-to-hire, oral-systemic–focused hygienist to provide coverage during a maternity leave, with the ideal candidate transitioning into a part-time or full-time permanent role thereafter. Once fully trained, the hygienist will conduct 60-minute recare visits, which include either periodic or recare radiographs, biofilm sampling, and GBT prophylaxis or PMT. The role offers autonomy in delivering care that supports patients in achieving excellent oral health. Appointments for gingivitis and periodontal therapy, including laser bacterial decontamination, are scheduled for 90–120 minutes.
The office utilizes Dentrix and Dexis software, along with Modento for patient communication. Hygienists administer their own anesthetic and use nitrous oxide; restorative procedures are generally not required in hygiene, aside from occasional sealants. The hygiene program incorporates a phase-contrast microscope for diagnosis, treatment monitoring, and patient education. EMS Airflow and Piezon technology support efficient and gentle cleanings.
