Job duties include but not limited to: preparing patient, sterilizing and/ or disinfecting instruments, set up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assists dentist during dental procedures. Recording treatment information in patient records, x-rays, taking and recording patient medical and dental histories and vital signs, help assist dentist in management of medical or dental emergencies, providing postoperative instructions prescribed by dentist, ordering and inventory of supplies, fabricating temporary restorations or custom impressions from preliminary impressions, making preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts, pour, trim, and polish study casts and cleaning/polishing removable appliances.
