Uniforms: Two (2) uniform lab jackets are provided by employer on a yearly basis. Employee is responsible for pressing to ensure a crisp, clean pressed uniform on a daily basis.
CE Courses: Accredited CE courses will be reimbursed on a case-by-case basis by the employer.
Medical: Allowance: $200.00 per month. This amount will be added to your earned wages with $100.00 added on the 15th and the last day of each month.
Dental Coverage: Employee, spouse, and children are eligible to receive routine care within the capabilities of the dental associates and the hygienists. Children are eligible as long as they are financially dependent and/or in school. No reimbursement will be paid to another general dentist or specialist. Staff members are responsible for all lab costs not covered by dental insurance. Any dental insurance benefits will be used to offset overhead expenses. It is your responsibility to see that your dental needs are met. Exceptions to this must be discussed and have consent from Dr. Pong in each case.
Holidays: Six (6) paid holidays are allowed following the initial employment period. Holidays observed annually are: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Vacation: Eight (8) days per year. Individual staff is permitted to take these annually accrued vacation hours off as approved by the employer. Any additional time off without pay needs to be approve by employer, and unused vacations are paid out yearly.
Sick Days: One (1) hour of sick leave is accrued for every 40 hours worked. Additional unused sick leave will be paid out at the end of the year.
Retirement: You are eligible for retirement benefits after one year of employment. This is not a guaranteed benefit or entitlement. This is subject to change and determination yearly by Dr. Pong. Our current system matches up to 3% of employee’s contribution to their simple IRA.
Job duties include:
Conduct all duties associated with preventative oral hygiene care including but not limited to: complete preliminary examinations on new dental service patients, take X-rays of patients’ teeth and develop them for dentist’s use, educate patient on office procedures and treatments, complete dental prophylaxis by cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and from beneath gum margins, evaluate overall oral health, examining oral cavity for signs of periodontal disease or possible cancers, including sores, recessed & bleeding gums, and oral lesions, administer local anesthetics, hart decay, disease, conditions, and any treatment recommended by dentist, and stock all needed supplies and maintain equipment. Hygienists get 1 hour per patient and 1.5 for SRPS.
Software used is Open Dental and Gendex.
Office is a true private family practice that services a wide variety of age groups, with majority of our patients being long-time clients that live within the community. We are a small practice, but this allows us the efficiency and flexibility to adapt with the changing needs of patients as well as employees. We are a strong believer of providing a stress free atmosphere to both patients and employees. Office has 5 employees, the longest tenured at 15 years.
Position is available due to Our hygienist is resigning to go on an extended trip, and does not know when she will return, but when she returns she wants to find a job much closer to where she resides (Renton).
Office will accept unvaccinated employees with a religious or medical exemption.
