Job duties include conducting initial patient screenings, advising patients on oral health and preventative care, participating in the dental treatment of patients by performing dental prophylaxis, root planing, sealants placement, application of topical fluorides, examination of teeth, reviewing health history with each visit, charting conditions of decay and disease, providing oral cancer screening and radiographic studies, assisting the doctor in treatment decisions for teeth or gum diseases and handle dental, emergencies, complying with HIPAA and WISHA regulations, cleaning hygiene room, sterilizing instruments, and preparing hygiene room for patients.
