To offer our patients every opportunity to maintain a healthy, functional and esthetically pleasing dentition for a lifetime, the following six principles will guide our decisions and actions:
1)  Remember that our patients don’t care how much we know until they know how much we care.
           –  Strong interpersonal skills, time to listen, desire to listen and confidence that comes from some experience all play into earned trust and a positive, cooperative relationship with each patient.
2)  Apply the highest standards of excellence to preserve, protect, restore and enhance the oral health of our patients.
          –  Dr. Chyz is affiliate faculty at UW and is involved in research and lecturing about “Structural Adhesive Dental Restorations”, which is a form of Biomimetic dentistry focused of crack prevention and management, fiber reinforced composite restorations, and tooth preserving dentistry with far fewer crowns and root canals.  We use remineralization strategies to reverse early enamel lesions, with the belief that the best service we can provide is to help our patients not need us to drill into their teeth.  Periodontally, we work closely with long-term patients to encourage and motivate them toward effective home care, coupled with appropriate hygiene/SPT intervals.
3)  Provide an environment where our patients and our co-workers are treated with respect and dignity.
           –   This relates to so much that makes our time working together satisfying!
4)  Encourage professional growth and lifelong learning.
          –  Curiosity is a gift.  Kaizen principles (the concept of constant improvement) help us avoid perfection burnout (the concept of constant improvement)
5)  Ensure that the workplace is safe.
6)  Recognize that profitability is necessary for our continued success, but that profit must not be a factor in our treatment recommendations.
          –  No production goals – only care goals
          –  We are independent of insurance, which allows more time for less invasive, biomimetic dentistry
Position open because  current part-time hygienist is moving to Leavenworth.
